Some very nice progress going on! This is one pattern I much prefer the non-scrappy versions.

Lillies on Ringo Lake looks great! Love the constant nearly-solids to show off the pattern to the max. I think the lighter green is a great contrast to the navy blue. Winner!

    I agree with you there.

    Kalama,

I think she means the back of the pieced top, not the finished quilt.

I agree mine is lumpy and I intend to press it into submission...or get a hammer.

You're right Peggy - I would like to see the backs of the quilt TOPs (before layering/pinning/quilting/binding). I just think hers must be kind of messy too - haha.

I know it works out in the end (and steam is my friend), especially since she is able to quilt it on a long arm machine. All of my quilts are quilted on a regular [Janome] sewing machine. Think I'll just do Ringo diagonally - something simple.

Windblown, that's beautiful! The lightness of the green certainly doesn't impede the pattern in any way. The inside of the block kind of fades away at a distance regardless of what fabrics were used.

Thank You all for your kind comments. You encourage me to keep going. I'm getting very tired of this quilt.

Krista yours turned out great loved the finished blocks pattern you added.

So many wonderful finishes I can't list them all. Don't you wish we could see them all in one room.

Windblown: I really like your colors. I think the light green looks very nice.

This is the first block I’ve made with so many little pieces!! The back of my blocks look very messy. I’m not 100% sure I like making blocks with so many pieces. I’ve totally enjoyed the process because of all of you here on the quilting board. I will be very excited to see my finished top (I have 5 of 25 blocks done).

Amy, your quilt is very beautiful. I love those pink and jade shades together, and the clean look works so well for this pattern

I have finally finished my blocks! I'm using 32; here are four of them. I've especially enjoyed seeing these small pieces of neutrals come together in the block. It has given me an understanding of the charm of working with small pieces. A fabric may not be that special, but somehow, it seems special when you just see a small piece of it.

People have been mentioning the bulk of the seams, but this block seems less bulky to me than the three previous mysteries I've done, where I had to pound away. I did re-press clue 6 toward the brown as I went along so I could nest those corner point seams. Or maybe the bulk is coming in assembling the quilt, which I haven't started yet.

Now on to cornerstones, sashing and setting triangles!

Windblown, I am getting real tired of this quilt...So many steps to put a block together, then put the blocks together...too many pieces to cut...
YES!!! I am whining, complaining...but I know it will be so beautiful when completed....
My biggest challenge is the Parallelograms....240 of those ....2"x5"....argh...
    Slowly...it will get done.
