Ohhh the memories.
I remember when I was 11, my mother gave me a Singer Feather Weight sewing machine I wasn't too happy because I wanted a Barbie Doll case. I taught my daughters how to sew on the Feather weight and it also accompanied me to college. Yes, I still use it - I'm 54

Ok Secret Santas......
I have some bad news!!
I won't be able to host the chat.
I'm sure someone will step forward, yes?
Maybe Shadow will be back online by then..wouldn't that be great??

I FINALLY got my ticket for the grandbabies. Did NOT like the price, but with the holidays and all...I had to get what I could get. Hubby really not happy, but he told me that if I kept the ticket (I have until 2am EST Sat Nov 28 to cancel)....I cannot buy ANY fabric except for IRR for 6 months!!! OMG!! I think I will die!!! But, I can do it!! I think......

Terri, sorry to hear that about the plane ticket! I'm sure Ducky's cousin, Skip, would be happy to accomodate you for free, but that's just too far to go, for you, with no food or pillows and such. Definitely not first class ammenities.
I'm on dial up, so I know that I am not a good candidate for hosting chat. Too bad...might enjoy a new experience. I get bumped now, with 7-10 ppl
Now, about your real crisis!...no fabric buying for six months :!:
...i-yi-yi!
Now that is bad news! That would be until May of 2010!
We will have to make sure your blood pressure doesn't drop, no fainting spells, no crying jags, talking Moda, thousandbolts, connectingthreads, in your sleep...all sure signs of serious quilters withdrawal!!!
Ok, Santas, we need a host for the chit chat on the big day. Any takers?
Terri, just curious...what does the host do?
(Is that anything like a wal-mart greeter?)

Thanks all....Shadow says she should be online for SS...she should be healed a bit more.
She's doing good, just wants to get the drains out and all will be better....few more days I'm thinking for those.
She's having some fabric withdrawal, so she did some online shopping. I'm thinking she'll have enough fabric with the shopping she did to take her thru the winter lol

I just didn't like the price I had to pay for the ticket. It costs SOOOO much to get off this island. Had we been in HI, tickets are under $1000, but being here....prices are astronomical!
