I put mine in a little cup beside my machine, unless I put them into my glass of tea. :)

My fingers get so rough that the threads stick to them and don't want to fall into the trash can. I make a loop of tape with the sticky side out and stick it near my machine. Then I just tap the threads onto it, and when it gets too full to take any more the whole shootin' match goes into the can.

I toss them toward the wastebasket and think about moving it closer to me. I continue to repeat this over and over. When I finish I have to pick them up. Lol

I also have a large trash barrel in my sewing room and use a shop vac to prevent clogging up my house vac.

I toss mine into the garbage can, but most don't seem to make it into there, so my carpet is always covered. I've never understood how I can miss the can so much. I'm right there!

I have two small trash containers on each side of me and I try to hit them but miss most of the time so yes they end up on the floor, just for me to clean up later...LOL

I have a pin cushion/thread bag and I try to use it all the time, but for some reason I always end up looking like a wooly, scraggly bear after a sewing session....
