Avoid reverse sewing if at all possible. That's discouraging. A quilt you're iffy about REALLY takes long when you rip and re-do. Just do your best and all will be well. God Bless.

Very, very nice quilt. It's perfect for a young man. I doubt if he'd like the "pretty" quilts. You're making a quilt he'll enjoy using and treasure.

Keep going it looks pretty cool to me and I'm sure the ladies and gents will think so too. Quilting should be fun and challanging and any mistake is a lesson. NOT THIS TIME. It's really coming along nicely.

The denim strips and red squares set off the other blocks very well. It is a wonderful quilt for a guy. I bet you son will love it.

I really like it. It looks masculine and that's not easy to do with quilts. I'd continue as you are going, I think once it is all together and quilted you are going to be very proud of it, If not send it to me I'd be very happy to have that in my home. Is your denim heavy? If it is, it will be more difficult to quilt and you may think about tying it. I'm not crazy about tying as a rule but for denim, it works and you can do the invisible tie and not have the threads show.
