Oh oh, I messed up ladies, I did not take my sheet home to count off who I received and then did not get on computer to take them down, but I did receive five last night. the black kona cotton will be an easy one to do, have the little boy charity western all picked out, I had that same fabric, then the patik pink for baby girl I will have you know I do not do well with pastels and it is the rare thing to have in my stash so you get what you get on that one, but love batiks; then that green fern leaf fabric, what to put with it? I have no idea and what pattern? I am on a stumper with it, I may have to go to LQS for fabric on that one because I can't find anything that I like with it at all in my stash; then the pretty floral, another pastel color, oh what to do. I felt I went thru my pastel phase in the spring, but will see what can find, another lqs stop, hey jaba where are you? Need your store. So that is five. Couple cut out, but will have to sew up this weekend inbetween longarm breaks.

I am not a girly-girl. I am extremely lazy about looking refined and polished - I find what works and I stick with it. Example: I had tips (acrylics) for 12 years because it was easier to pay $15 every week or two than to struggle with keeping my nails nice (especially was I was still active duty). My hair is pulled back about 99% of the time. I just don't "do" look-nice work.

So, with all that said, WHY is it that the mail man only brings huge piles of fun mail when I have wet (as in, I took the time to actually paint them and all the work that entails) my nails? WHY !?!?!

Anyhow, the spreadsheet in my signature should be updated as soon as I can safely start opening envelopes.

Thank goodness. I didn't really start stressing about the "no black thing" until it was totally sewn up. And then I started second guessing myself. Phew. I'm glad it is going to work!

couple of minutes for an update, received today from Fraew, goldendogs, nexxus, quiltermomma. Remember as I posted earlier family here until Sunday. My son flew in 2 granddaughters and our new great grand daughter from OK. I nearly fainted everyone kept the surprise. So I have 12 people at my house, 4 generations between kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. Dad lives 20 miles away, going to have 5 generations pics taken tomorrow. That doesn't happen very often. It's a very good weekend. No sewing until Sunday though, gees just thought I was caught up....nada!!!! Going to be sewing on my machine next week until it begs me to shut it down. Think I saw where someone asked what I was going to do with my fabric, sure I put a note in each 1 but if I missed 1 I'm going to make a table runner and some placemats maybe a funky wall hanging or ? Really not sure, need to see what you come up with, then I'll know.

Ok tada, got Linda d's blocks done last night.. decided what an excellent idea someone posted if you have enough you make another where its not the focal and well did two and like both in a weird way. on a roll I pulled out the itty bitty little friggen triangles from Marytoddliz's disaster cutting day.. butchers gone wild! and decided not to toss them but try to make a redemption block for her.. I did and it worked out.. all magical this working out stuff. Maybe I will just invent goofy magic blocks and not worry about patterns that I mess up now to see if there is enough of Yosemitesas fab to try round two.. next up is the lovely purple tone on tone.. stumped guys. grapes? I have perfect grapes I could use but maybe miriam you dont want grapes... a tough one.. the simiplier a fabric the tougher to figure out what you want .. designs are easier, color check and its simple.

glad you liked the dots on the Dr. Seuss fabric, I had this odd bunch of it all tied up with a ribbon someones left overs and was two seconds from donating it.. I thought never will it work.. well wrongo huh? it was what I was looking for and that striped fab? I had 1" left of it when done.. lots of scrap fabrics in my house, I am lucky to be gifted with so many wonderful treats and now to find a home for them.. that is grand. So far so good. Maybe one more tonight. I am tired.. gotta go to the post office as I am a glutton for punishment. There will surely be a half a dozen or more waiting for me.. its ok if you slow down now.. take your time getting your stuff out heck you have all week so no worries.. grin.. truly let me catch up slightly. Wow how fast you guys are.

last Jaba enjoy your time and hope to see a photo shot of the whole gang. That is super and a lovely suprise. Good thing those potatos came in you might be making some big bowls of salad with that stuff. Two should feed the whole gang. and quilter momma no package from me? sheesh rowing its way to you now..overland no less.
