I signed up twice for the flyer and 5 mos. later still had none. Noticed that I could sign up online and got it in 2 wks. Go that direction, it may be quicker since you get to the shop infrequently. I wonder if they don't send in the sign-ups at some of the stores.

I get the flyer in the mail, I also get the email and the Sunday newspaper flyer (when there is one). You can use all three coupons on different items. Say 3 different fabrics not on sale, one can be used for each cut.

They will also accept coupons from Michael's, except not on fabric anymore, but other items.

I use those 40% coupons when thread isn't on sale - yup, I know - only good for one spool, lol. Or batting. Or some special fabric I've had my eye on. There'll be at least one thing on my list of "stock" I need that isn't on sale....

That's when the extra coupons come in handy, for at least two spools of thread when it isn't on sale.

I take advantage of the 50% on all thread when they do that, get all my Sulky threads then.

The teacher discount card does give you 10% off your total purchase except for coupons used. If you are a member of a quilting gild just go online to Joann's and sign up for a VIP card. It works the same as the teachers card but you get less of a hassle signing up for it. It will be sent to you in the mail.

I use mine for pillow forms, batting, thread collections or bolts of muslin.

You can use them usually in-store or on-line. Since my closest JoAnns is 75 miles away, I use mine on-line. I use them mostly for nice-to-have items (which are seldom on sale) or templates/cutting mats. Mostly for things I cannot find locally. With gas prices going higher, shopping on-line is much more appealing.

I use for rotary cutting supplies, purse handles, batting, books, foam, pillow forms, dressy dress fabric, scissors (ghinger are the best  ) Notions, needles, magnetic pin cushion, storage, scrapbooking supplies, flannel, upholstery fabric, decorations, cake supplies. Way too much to mention and if you have the extra coupons like the new flyer has, watch out.

I've used it for cutting mats, rotary cutters and blades, etc. Those things are expensive and it is a nice reduction.
