Thank you, Belles. To tell you the truth, I was pretty thrilled that I managed to get all the blocks & rows sewn together without going completely bonkers ... I say this because each of the blocks were to be exactly 6-1/2" square and, unfortunately, some of mine were just a tad too big and others a tad too small. I had to "encourage" them to fit together and they cooperated quite well.[/quote]

My blocks are the same, just a tad off here and there. When I did my 1st half, I was able to pull them to match the sashing strips. I will be working with my 2nd half of the quilt when I get home, and I'm sure I'll have the same problem!

I love your quilt. Great job. I have not purchased this book yet, but it may be in my future.

Well, my fwsq is a work in progress; not finisihed yet. I keep looking at it on the display wall and redoing some blocks that just jump out at me like storm warning done with a white background.... Its redone now. Plus I need six to eight more; have 7 auditioning for those spots. May be I should post them back in the appropiate numbered block show.

Yes, Anne I am glad you are save from Irene.

Both of you Weezie and QNS, your quilts are spectacular!

That display board you have QNS is awesome. Don't have a wall that size available in my sewing room - I'm in awe!

Nor do I have it in my sewing room. It is in the hallway and limited by the 7 foot ceiling. SIL put the lights up for me on one of their visits here. It is built from hard board and 1x2 lumber pieces, sprayed with glue and batting added on front side, then blue flannel cloth stapled to the frame.

It reminds me everytime up & down the hallway what I need to do next. (Without hollering at me!!! LOL!!)

I love your blocks QNS. They're so colorful and I like the sashing you're using. I'm also jealous of such a large wall space. I have a flannel sheet on a rod and it's only about 4 x 4. That is going to be beautiful!

Weezie, your quilt top is stunning! How can you not just be in love, love, love with it??? Beautiful, beautiful job!!!

Quilting Nina...your quilt is coming along beautifully as well! Wow!

Sure wish I had a bigger space so I could lay my blocks out and see what to do with them...sigh...I must be patient!

Thanks, rwquilts. (It actually looks much better off-camera!) I don't NOT like it, but ... scrappy sometimes takes some getting used to for me.

It may be of no help to you BUT I will tell you, if you would like, what I did to lay out my blocks in a rather small area. Let me know if you want me to 'splain my method, because it will be a bit wordy.

QNS: Looking great so far! Thanks for posting your picture; I was feeling a bit conspicuous, being the only one to post a picture.
