Thanks for taking this on. I am in. Is the fabric to be prewashed?

I was thinking about doing the Empire Star - http://www.quilterscache.com/E/EmpireStarBlock.html

    take care, Maribeth

i noticed people are picking blocks from the quilters cache site - is that a requirement to do the swap?

not that there isn't anything there i'd choose - i just want to follow the rule.

also is the background fabric going to be black or white?

Got my fabric ordered. 3 half yard cuts of Lakehouse and Robert Kaufman. Figured it might get here before I can get to the fabric shop so I might as well order it online.

Ya'll, those blocks are pretty! I better get crackin' and pick mine out!!

I'm not answering for Colletta, but in the last swap...the background was your choice. I actually made mine 1/2 and 1/2...half on the darker background and half on a lighter background.

I think I'll do this one, Broken Wheel variation. http://www.quilterscache.com/B/Broke...tionBlock.html

    Is this a "sampler block"?

Please count me in. This will be my first quilting exchange -- and my first black and white quilt!!! I've done other exchanges in a counted cross stitch board before and have loved it, and have received things from all over the world.

Actually, I would love to do three sets of blocks (we'll see if I can propel into action) and make these quilts for my three kids -- it would be special for them to have so many people working on one quilt. I will post my block pattern(s) later. This is exciting.

So so tempting. Really not sure if I have the time though... I'll have to think about it. :-S

I know how great the blue and white stars swap was, so to everyone who does join in with this I hope its just as much fun!!! :-D :-D

Any block you might pick. When they are all put together it will make a sampler quilt.
