I'm wondering if you are in the NE near me. It's getting hot and humid. Love your "location".

Took a break; had lunch, washed dishes, swept and mopped the house and am now sitting at the computer checking on evryones progress. Boy does the pie look scrumptous; can not wait to make one myself.

The butterfly blocks are wonderful. Have a great time deciding exactly what to do. Hee, hee, hee.

I have so many ideas swimming around in my head with all of this new fabric, I know I am not going to sleep well tonight. So far in this tote, I have a panel quilt all planned out. A pile of scraps to add to the growing scrap tote; that will all be cut down into various sized squares when I am completely finished folding. I found the most beautiful light green with white tiny flowers that I think will make a lovely Double or Triple Irish Chain quilt (if I can find the other perfect matches). Plus, I was really running low on solids in my stash and this quilter has given me close to 50 yards of solids and have not gotten through the second tote yet.

I am rambling. Also meant to mention the Circle Quilt is fabulous. I think that would be a great idea to use with scraps or planned fabrics. Continue to have a great time. Check back later.

Well, I have sewn 5-12 segments for my braid. Now I starrt with 1 and go through to 12. I'm not a fast sewer and I do pin, pin, pin. If I can get 1-12 done today, I will be ahead for tomorrow's job.
Thant pie looks scrumptious wish I lived closer so I could have a bite. Down to check up on everyone and get a bottle of cold water, warm just doesn't do it for me.

I'm late to the retreat. I spent the morning sending thank you emails and doing feedbacks for all my Boom 7 swap partners. I did a couple of loads of clothes in between.

I still have all my blocks from the swap and some other swaps in their mailing envelopes so I'm going to pull them all out and iron them and start playing. I like to wait until I have all the bookkeeping out of the way so I don't mix up which block came from whom.

Chicca - I just never seem to come across good finds like that. How lucky for you! I bet it is so much fun to see what you pull out next.

Carolaug - the pie looks great. It's been so hot here lately I stopped using the stove - I don't have AC. It's been cloudy all day but is suppose to rain this afternoon. I hope so, we really need it. The grass is dead and the flowerbeds are all wilted. Love the circle quilt.

I'm going to go fire up the iron and turn on the fan!

I did finish cutting my blocks and I have decided to use flower prints around the butterflies and then a white or green border around each block. Happy sewing...

Here is my first block. Thinking a white border may work around this block. The middle is off white..looks she may have used Muslim fabric

The smallest block she had left no room on the borders...I had to cut them all down to 8 inches. So some of the butterflies will be sewn on, but that is ok...it just looks like they are flying in the flowers.

Well, a little after 5pm, in my part of the country, was getting tired and when that comes along it is best that I quit so I don't make a whole bunch of mistakes. Needed to go the grocery store. That is done. So I am going to enjoy the air conditioning.

I got all my strips cut, got my strip sets sewn and was about to start cutting the sets apart when I got cold (makes no sense it is 100 degrees here) and hubby sent me to bed with a nasty fever. I just woke up, about to go back to bed and see if I can't finish things up tomorrow if I am feeling better.
