Dina quilt is wonderful and that is a good idea. May look up disappearing 4 patch or a disappearing 9 patch and see what types of results you get with that. on the 9 patch use the blue, orange and white, I think might make it pop!!

If you added a different shade of one of those colors or an additional color you could do a disappearing 9 patch, it is
[h=1]very easy and goes together quickly. It was the first quilt I made and I had no quilting experience at all. You could use his 2 favorite colors with the main blocks and big border done in his sports, hobbies, things he enjoyed while with you. There are free patterns on line or you could PM me,[/h]
