I love it! I would not put sashing on; it interrupts the flow and interrupts the crazy. Google images of crazy quilt and you can compare although there are not that many with sashing. Here is one with sashing that manages to keep the crazy in crazy quilt. http://periwinklequiltingandbeyond.b.../02/crazy.html

If you don't add sashing at all you can add bits and pieces here and there to make it look like one single piece of piecing.

I love the idea of black sashing....also all kinds of lace, buttons, and ribbons would look great.

Looks great! Now you need a solid color to border the blocks to really make them shine. I would go with a dark green batik, but not too dark. You seem to have lots of greens in your blocks so I think green to frame them would be nice. Just read one of the comments in the thread. Is that hardwood floor under the blocks in the photos or fabric?

Good Job! I would say your way is a great way. I vote no sashing.

I need to get my eyes checked.
I thought you were using tan or gold sashing at first too. I like the looks of it. Black would be good too. I like the idea of a narrow sashing between the blocks. It adds just a bit of order to all the craziness of the blocks.
Whatever you decide it's going to look great when you're done.
