    Totally agree. It's a lovely quilt and deserves to be as good as you can you can get it.

    That is a colorful quilt and a very happy one. It's beautiful. I agree with the others about removing the borders and redoing.

    Is that awesome. I love the colors in the design. If you did piano keys first, could you fill them in with yellow swirlies. I like to do a straight line, then another 1/4 inch away, the skip an inch and make another set. I love to fill in that inch with a quilt pattern. You could make that "skip" any width you like for your swirls. I am thinking though that it is so awesome and wonderful just as it is, it doesn't need any more design. That border allows the eye to rest.

    I just love how you did the color placement. It is so bright and happy. I saw it and just thought WOW. a very happy WOW.

    I have to agree with the others, when there is this much noticeable fullness, it's going to pucker and pleat; and it's too nice to not spend and hour and a half to do it properly. I didn't pull on my first border when I sewed it, either, never fixed it, and although my SIL did a pretty good job of covering it up, it's all I ever notice on my first quilt.
