Pulled Pork
4 lb pork roast
1 1/2 cups water
2 medium onions
garlic cloves
2 cups or more favourite BBQ sauce
Slice one onion and place in the bottom of the slow cooker.
Place roast in with water and a few garlic cloves.
Top with second onion cut into chunks.
Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours.
Remove roast and spoon off liquid but save about 1-2 cups of liquid and the onions.
On a platter, pull apart the meat with two large forks until shredded.
Return meat to slow cooker and add BBQ sauce and onions.
If the meat still appears a little dry, add some of the reserved juices.
Return and cook on low for 4-5 hours more.
When ready to serve, check the moisture level, you may want to add more sauce for additional zip.
Serve on soft kaiser buns with dressed coleslaw on top of the meat.
The mixture of pork with the bite of BBQ sauce and the crunch of the coleslaw is yummy!

I work nights and hubby works days and I love having something ready for him when he walks in the door. (I get leftovers the next day for lunch). This turned out great!!!! The ribs were so tender.

Homestyle Beef Stew
2 (16 oz each) frozen mixed vegs of your choice
1 1/2 lbs of beef stew meat cut into 1" cubes
1 (10 oz) can of cream of mushroom soup UNDILUTED
1 (10 oz) can of cream of tomato soup UNDILUTED

I add 2 cups of water and 3 beef boullion now, but that was because the 1st time I made this stew it was very thick. personal choice here.
brown meat, then add to slow cooker w/vegs and soup mixes and water. 6 hours on low and dinner is ready. delish over mashed potatoes! I also use a bit o meat tenderizer and beat on the roast pcs. before adding it to skillet to brown
