I know what you mean, this quilt in progress has been on the wall for almost a year, I really don't like it and don't want to finish it. I also don't want to get into the habit of not finishing what I start. With my personality I will have lots of partially finished projects. I will force myself to finish eventually. :)

I agree with a lot of other comments; finish it and put it away for a month then have a look at it. I do that with each and every quilt I've made, then when I take it out of the closet I love it again.

I have made ugly quilts before, someone always loves them. So I don't have all that work, time, material, money wasted Your quilt is beautiful keeping working on it .I think you will be surprised.

I love the second quilt!!! I like the first quilt too but the colors are a bit girlish for my husband. I really like the design! I am making a quilt now from the disappearing nine block it started as a lap quilt but I want to make it a queen size for my quest room. Of course I do not have any of the fabric left from the blocks so trying to figure out how to make it bigger. Borders, maybe a few added blocks. These pictures are giving me ideas! I am using a cheap store bought quilt for the batting and backing. Looking for some ideas on how to put them together...has anyone ever sewn the tops directly onto an old quilt?

With the cost of fabric, I keep on going! I have had quilt tops I have been working on and think "why isn't this working for me" and find out when I am done, it had a mind of its own and turned out good.

Your quilt looks nice, but I think it's the corner triangles that is throwing it off. Maybe a solid color would look better?

Those are both really pretty quilts. I vote with finish it, like someone else said they look very different when finished. Good luck and please post pics.

Deema- I love it, keep going! Think of a special little splurge for yourself when it's done and reward yourself accordingly.
