Hi DSJ

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas...be talking to you..
I went on Quiltville and I like the I Spy Four Patch idea for scraps. I have a lot of left over scraps from baby quilts which would look great I think.

I do a lot of quilts for PROJECT LINUS.... and I often use scraps, cut into squares of whatever size (from 1 1/2 up to 5 inches)...they make colorfull quilts and kids love bright colors......the biggest problem I seem to have is that the fabric isnt all the same weights, and I try to not mix heavy and light ones in the same quilt.Maybe it would be a good idea to have a box for heavy and a box for lighter weight scraps too ?????

I have collected fabric for awhile with great intention but never seem to have the time to quilt for myself. My sister just started quilting and is in love with it but on a very tight budget so I sent her a box full of my favorites for Christmas. She was so excited. I always buy enough to make two of each pattern because she always wants them, so now she can make one for me. Sisterly love.

Made myself a patchwork cloth for under the sewing machine and it came out great. Used scraps for blocks 10cm x 10cm but will be making bigger blocks next time for quilts.

sewsue,
I love your mat, makes your area seem so 'quilty!'
You did a great job, keep up the good work. I like your machine cover also. You inspire me!

Am new to this site and you gals have inspired me. Today, I cut the binding for two quilt tops and sewed a border on one of them. They are now ready for the quilters. Will send them out this week.
Guess what, gives me more room for working on another UFO.

Thanks for the inspiration.

I'm in too. Have way too many scraps and don't want to throw out.
