I have a small room that use to be my sons. I have a wooden 12 cube piece of furniture. It works really well separating by color. That way you can quickly tell which stash to look for if your on the hunt. And which ones you need to share with friends, because the cloth is falling out of the bin. LOL!

Count me in also. My church group does quilts for Helping Hands, who help the homeless in our area. I'm sure they could use a few more quilts.. Thanks for the great idea on using up the bags and boxes of leftovers.

My stash is HUGE!! Totally out of control! I've made two kings and a couch throw just since Jan 10th from my stash and it doesn't even show. If I could make a full, queen, or king size once a week all year I might be able to whittle it down a bit. I'm in a Scraps and Strips club and this is exactly what we're doing.

I totally agree. I've found it impossible to use up my scraps & strip leftovers and I use them in at least 50% of the quilts I make and donate to Linus. A large wicker laundry basket is piled high and overflowing onto the floor with shorter strips and smaller pieces. Several heavy duty clothes hangers are bending with the weight of the longer strips.
The more I use, the more I seem to have. Multiply not like rabbits (too slow) but fruit flies. In addition, I may have someone sneeking in to add some of their own to my pile since I seem to have come across a few pieces, while working on yet another scrap quilt yesterday, that I don't recognize.

Here's my scrappy quilt for March. I'd have to make about 50 more to make a dent in my stash.
