You know I wondered about that basket. Perhaps she got tipsy that night, bless. :D

Mine will definately be right side up.

    LOL

maybe, the author of the book didn't choose the correct top of the quilt and everyone has been looking at it wrong for all these years.

Are you planning to use the same block placement that Jane did?

yes, the only things i'm changing are

    1) that basket is going right side up
    2) some applique's will be converted to paper piecing
    3) some blocks will be reverse applique instead of traditional and vice versa. i'll use what ever applique i prefer instead of the hardline - it must be done jane's way.

I didn't notice there was one sideways....

I'm not a purist by any stretch of the imagination, but I do kind of like the idea of having one in there sideways. ;-)

    so - rotate the quilt!

Does the software piece it the way Jane appeared to - vs the klunky way it's drawn in the book?

Wasn't there a period of time where it was "the done thing" to have a mistake in a quilt, a block placed sideways or something similar?

thats a common thing the amish site in their work but trust me there are many mistakes in the jane quilt she didn't need to make one on purpose.
