How many of you actually have sewing studio/room

Actually my two rooms are craft rooms which houses my embroidery machine, two sewing machines, needle felting machine, accu studio/go/westminster pro cutters and my screen printing machine. With that said if I need to cut fabric not using one of those machines I use the d/r table to do so since it's large and roomy.

I converted one of our guest bedrooms to a sewing room.
I took the closet doors off and built floor-to-ceiling shelves in the closet for storage.
There is a "U" shaped work space in the middle of the room where I sit with the sewing machine at the end of the "U", an ironing station on one side and a six-foot work table on the other long end of the "U". I can cut, sew, and iron with only a turn of my chair.
My favorite piece of furniture in there is the old library card catalog cabinet that I found at an antique store. It's oak, five feet tall and five feet wide and has tons of little drawers for me to stash all of my small sewing and craft supplies.

I share my 8x10 quest room with my sewing/quilting. It's tiny but I can close the door and walk away. Fortunately we don't have guests that often so I don't have to worry about cleaning up for visitors!

Hey Janie, you're welcome to take a road trip anytime! I don't have anyone to play with. :cry: My family thinks I'm nuts. I guess the only person who understands a quilter is another quilter. I find myself just wandering in there throughout my day. In my last house I had the loft, and things were just piled high on top of each other, and there really wasn't much room to work. It was really stressful, and not really a fun place to be. This room was really was worth the wait. Started as hubby's office space, but he found he couldn't keep it tidy so he moved down to the basement. Yay for me - yes, I truly am a blessed girl!
