I have favorite movies on DVD, and the complete Seinfeld series on DVD, radio, but lately have turned to recorded books on DVD. My problem is that I can only listen to the books when I'm doing mindless quilting, not when I'm cutting or doing a difficult pattern. Sometimes I just listen to the quiet with my quilting buddy Haley--a big, friendly, yellow lab, who at three years old and 100 pounds thinks she's a lapdog...........LOL

I shut the TV off once my husband leaves for work. I listen to music while I am quilting and cleaning the house. Sometimes I just like the quiet of the house.

MUSIC!!! I rock out when in the sewing room- and sometimes the completion of quilting a quilt is quite dependant on my music selections...some quilts i need to listen to something instrumental and soothing- sometimes i need alot of movement- i have a very wide variety of music- when i have made the right choice- i can really get into the rhythm and accomplish ALOT. once in a while i want just silence- and that works too- when the time is right.
i only watch maybe 20 hours of tv a month---catch a baseball/hockey or basketball game once in a while, might watch a movie during a month= just not into sitting watching tv- when i am i am usually using the time to complete a binding or some other hand work.

I love to listen to my music on my iPod. I like an eclectic mix of music and put the iPod on shuffle, so sometimes, it's classic rock, sometimes opera, bluegrass, jazz...a real mix. And then, there is the panting or "talking" by my two best buds--a yellow lab who loves to communicate and a chocolate lab whose favorite spot to lay is right below my sewing machine table and in the way--these two have been dubbed "the underfoot sisters" because of their propensity to sit right under one's feet! Sometimes, I will also do silence, though then I'm distracted too much by my inner thoughts!

Unfortunately the TV. Although with all the crap that's on I'm rethinking that decision.
