Sure wish I had your dealer. Mine may speak and may ignore me. After $5000 spent on machines I think speaking would be nice.

I came here 3 yrs ago from Cleveland Ohio so it really is a new world for me. No one went out of their way to be helpful there so I'm still getting used to how nice things are here :)
That's funny. I moved to NE Ohio 4 years ago from NH

I'm glad you got your problem fixed and I'm even more surprised that your dealer makes house calls. However, part of a good business is customer service and keeping the customer happy. One unhappy customer can spell the death knell for any business. Happy quilting from now on out.

I have the Janome 6600 (which should operate the same as the 6500 when FMQing) and I was told that I could use the open-toed plastic darning foot for FMQing (it came with the machine) with no adjustments or the metal circular FMQ foot (purchased separately). However, when using the latter it's crucial to set the height adjustment correctly (trial and error???) or else the thread keeps breaking.

My dealer (50 miles away) not only doesn't make house calls, but likes to charge for everything and/or upsell me to another/different machine. You have a dream dealer :-)

LOL I will for sure :)

oh how nice that you have fabric to commemorate the occasion! It really is so pretty here, I feel really blessed that we moved here. It's very nostalgic.
