DS wanted a black and white quilt with no flowers. I couldn't stand it so I added in some reds. This was about fifteen years ago. I think if I was doing it now, I would make it the way he asked...

Yes, my daughter-in-law requested it. But I bought too much fabric and ended up making two more with the left overs.

I have made a challenge quilt with black and white and a different color added in to twelve sampler blocks, while keeping the black and white fabrics the same throughout.

I have a drawer full of black and white-just waiting for time to make a b&w log cabin (or maybe french braid--saw one of those at a show, with these huge brilliant hybiscus flowers and leaves appliqued on it)

I did a B&W, but tossed in a little bit of color using jewel colors. Each block has one square that isn't black or white, and I used turquoise, raspberry, bright yellow and royal for the square. It spiced it up but still left an impression of black and white.

Like many others, I added red to mine. I made it for my BFF of 45 years (so far).

I did a Wheel of Mystery in B&W and it was beautiful.

My son is a musician (on weekends), I made him a black and white several years ago. All the fabric was black and white musical notes, instruments, and sheet music. I used a 2" red inner border, a 4" black border and finished with the musical note binding. Turned out well and he's still happy with it.
