This is my first ever quilt.
I am a total newbie to quilting even though I have sewen clothes and other projects my first quilt was black and white. I had no idea some quilters either don't like black and white quilts or are having your delima. I took the advice of just a very thin black border and stuck with just those two colors.
Here is the top completed. It will be quilted in a few weeks on a Long arm.

I made a totally black and white quilt. No splash of color. I love it. I made it to go in my black and white guest room. The whole room has nothing but black and white in it. Everyone loves it. The only color in it is the flag that flew over my sons Navy ship during his re-enlistment ceremony.

I made one for my brother, I added red. For some reason, I can't find a picture of the finished quilt on my pc - I think I only have it on my iPod.

Need to get some ideas for a baby quilt that is primarily black & white. Baby girl (probably named Sophia) is due in February. Will be staying in parents' room for awhile (older kids don't want to share their rooms at this time) and the master bedroom is decorated in black & white - mostly toile prints. Am thinking about going with the black & white with bright pink and lime green touches. What do you think?
