First lap top quilt I ever made was a black and white rail fence with a red inner border. Turned out nice.

Search Black and White quilts on the forum. There was a real flurry of activity when some of us did the Thinking Outside the Block pattern (my avatar). Here's a better picture.

Yes, years ago, I decided I wanted to make a black & white quilt. I made 12 inch blocks of various patterns and put a black sash between the blocks. It started out to be a wall hanging and I kept finding new block designs that I wanted to make that the quilt ended up to be queen size. I think I had 5 or 6 blocks across and 6-7 for length and the border was a row of black, white and ended with black. It really turned out rather nicely.

However, I gave it to a friend (a non quilter) who loved it - but washed it in a machine that had had clorax in the previous load - so it is now gray and white. I was not happy!!

This is the layout that I have in progress. I am using my GoBaby to cut the half square triangles. I will add a color to the inner border.

Black bow ties on white. I call it my "Black Tie Affair". No other color.

Yes and added a pop of red. Really made it stand out. One of my favorite quilts.
