DH wants a black and red quilt. I am thinking to do a braid. Maybe set it together with an off white?? Or maybe no sashing?? Any ideas?

I have collected blacks and whites and plan to add a likttle red in it. Have seen some made with a touch of orange, yellow and purple. ( I am saying black and white with one other color added.) ANd they were striking.

Am thinking about going with the black & white with bright pink and lime green touches. What do you think?
One of the most outstanding baby quilts I have seen is black & white with the words: eat. sleep. repeat. appiqued in a deep fuschia on the lower left quadrant. Not babyish, but definitely for a baby, and very striking. But at this moment I cannot find the picture I kept of it. Drat.

Same idea would be dramatic with just "Sophia" appliqued on whatever B&W background pattern you choose. Being appliqued, the name could wait until you're sure that's the one they're keeping! (A friend called her unborn son by name for six months, and a week before his birth decided she was tired of that name and picked a very different one for him--glad I had not written the name on anything yet!)

I stayed with Black & White. Made one for a grandson 5 years ago.

My daughter likes Black, White & Red, so I made this quilt for her.

I made a black and white for a grand daughters wedding quilt and didn't add any color to it. I really didn't like it then and still don't like it. I am working on a black and white now and really do like it. I think a little color really makes the black and white prettier.
