I bot my first pair of Kai embroidery scissors for about $15.00 a long time ago. Went to Tuesday Morning store-they had same for $2.99. Bargains happen when and where you least expect them.... I bot some titanium scissors at Hancock's Christmas 2012 - they were a promo. Three different sizes for $7.99..(for the box). they cut like butter. Clerk said that is what they have been using in the store for over a year and haven't sharpened them YET...... Bot several as gifts for my quilty friends.....

I bought both the small and large size rotary cutters at the Houston show last year. Love them! The ones I got only cut when you press down with them; otherwise their blades are protected.

We have scissors all over the house labeled for which room they belong in. They stay in the right room pretty well, and no need to go into my studio looking for some scissors. Seems to help.

I have some good scissors, but will keep a lookout for the Kai or Buckley.

Love mine! I got a pair at the quilt show in Puyallup, Wa last Nov. The pair I choose was to cut my wool applique pieces. I got them on recommendation of my friend.

i like the buckley scissors too. fiskers products are an ongoing disappointment, from blades to mats to scissors. i know if i buy a fiskers product, it's going to be as good as disposable.

Absolutely agree about the Kai scissors. The best I've ever used. They will even sharpen them free of charge for the life of the scissors. Very nice company to deal with.

    I'm curious.
I would think (according to what "they" say), that no matter what brand scissors you use, you have to consistently cut from the 'joining spot' all the way to the tip to prevent dulling them.
"They" would be my high school commercial sewing teacher. She preached this and I always try to do it.
Having said that, I went to the site and I see a pair in my future...join to tip, lol!

I have two sets, they are about 35 years old, I love them, My hubby bought them for me, I am so glad he did, they have never been sharpened and they cut beautifully, but I have had to warn my family if they touch them, they could lose their hands. You cannot go wrong if you purchase them.

I got a pair of Kai 7250 scissors at an Estate Sale for $3. I didn't even know what they were. DH sharpened them up on my Fiskars sharpener & they are now my go to scissors, my poor Fiskars are feeling left out.
