I haven't done anything with selvedges yet, but here's a tip: Use a foundation of muslin to piece without seams. Similar to shingling a roof, lay your first strip at the bottom with the raw edge of fabric along the top edge. Sew your next selvedge so that the "selvedge" edge overlaps the raw edge of the first fabric. Keep going upwards, sewing each new selvedge to the one beneath it. When you're done, treat the selvedges as a piece of fabric to be cut up and sewn as you choose.
Hope this helps!

The first time I did this (I said it was an accident! lol) , I grabbed that interfacing just because I was trying to keep the thickness down (so the side seams of one of my bags would be doable with the selvedges) and it was the lightest-weight-anything I had on hand at the time.
I buy that interfacing by the bolt at Joann's when I have a 40-50% off coupon.

Is there a work-around to get the postage lowered? ( I know *nothing* about sending packages overseas) ... But... if there is a way to bring the costs down... email me and I could split an order with you. I'm sure I'll be buying a few yards.

Good points made by all - I admire the work done with selvages by CoventryUK and others. This fabric took the creativity out of it by being pre-made. Plus it really is an on-going advertisement.

I think it would be cute laminated for sewing totes, etc... maybe even curtain trim or valances for a sewing room...
But, in the end, it really lacks the character that comes together from using the real selvedges.
And yes... I know some people have no attraction to working with selvedges. I just think they're fun.
