Ironically, this quilt design was just featured by MSQC on their "Daily Deal" newsletter this morning. It is a gorgeous quilt.

This is my favorite pattern of all of the patterns she has done. Always comes out perfect. I like your colors

What a lovely quilt. I'm wondering what color thread you quilted it with, whether or not you used more than one color and what type/brand of thread you prefer to use. If you don't mind sharing that info! Thanks!

Your quilt is beautiful and I know the lucky couple will just love it- applause to you for hand quilting this beauty.
A strange coincidence I am currently in the process of making the same quilt pattern but using purples in mine- I made two blocks last summer and put it all aside to complete my Christmas quilts, decided to get back to this one. I'm in sort of a quandry now though, because our challenge in my quilt group for the year is to make our challenge quilt monochromatic. Purple is my favorite color, so I will be doing mine in purple and I want to have enough purples to do both. I have loads of purple fabric but I don't want to skimp on either quilt. My quilts are all machine pieced and machine quilted. I would never attempt to hand quilt a quilt no matter what the size- that would make me quit quilting forever. I always dread to even have to hand sew the bindings, but I always do because I think they look so much better.

Really pretty and I know you put lots of time and love into making it. Quatrefoil is on my bucket list. At this rate I'd have to live to about 110 and finish a quilt every month to cross off everything on my list lol!!!

This quilted is quilted with a royal blue thread, one color, a Dual Duty Coats and Clark hand quilting thread. I used Kona cotton for my solids on this quilt and I usually buy it at Hobby Lobby. Their prices seem better. So, I just picked up thread while I was there. I usually use Coats and Clark or Gutermann depending on where I am when I need thread. I like them both equally. For piecing I use Connecting Threads, it's linty but I like the price and quality. I plan to try some other threads like Aurifil and Superior but haven't gotten around to it yet.

Thanks for your interest. And all of the great comments. This quilt is to be gifted today but I hate to see it go. I will probably have to make another, lol.

The blues are beautiful on this quilt. Reminds me of my grandmothers old blue and white dishes.
I love your beautiful blue wedding quilt. What a gorgeous and thoughtful gift. A true keepsake!
I made several small wall hangings in the past, approx. 45", and hand quilted them. While I appreciate the wonderful look and time others put into theirs, it was NOT for ME. Like sewlittletime, I don't have enough time left in my lifetime to get a large quilt done at my slow pace LOL. So...........once I found out quilting could be done by machine, I was off and running again. Everyone has their talents or limitations which gives life its spice.

Oh, that's going to be gorgeous! I sure hope you post a picture of it because I want to see it!

The Quatrefoil quilt was, I believe MSQC's most popular quilt, tutorial for 2015. They had a vote the other day. I know it's a winner as far as I'm concerned. They had a new tutorial a week or so ago that I also have to do, called Tangled Geese.
