I have 3 different hotel rooms booked. 2 rooms are with just 1 king bed and are with the quilt show, one is 2 double beds which i will probably use as there r 3 of us going to share theroom. all 3 rooms can be held till 48 hrs before check in day. So if someone needs a room........the ones with quilt show rates is Double Tree & Crown Plaza so these will have transportation. The rates are $153.00 a nite plus taxes

Just an FYI for those staying at Courtyard Marriott...if you have AAA or are over 62, there's a nice discount you can get!
That's what the reservations lady told me on the phone.

I hope that you are well enough to be at the show this year. Would love for you to be a part of our quilt board get together!
Thanks Marcia. I'll keep an eye on this post for a tag suggestion to identify us and any meeting plans.

Hi everyone! Glad to see that plans are being made for Houston!! It is going to be here before you know it! This year is just flying by. I know that there are others who will make plans as the time draws closer.

I still have no ideas yet for name tags or any other way for us to identify ourselves to each other. Any suggestions??? Anyone???

If there is someone who lives in the Houston area and would like to plan a time/place for us to get together........or could just give me a heads up with some ideas, I would really appreciate it. I have never been to Houston and it is hard to plan this things with no knowledge of the area.

What do you think of a tiny white- in-the-middle siggy block written QB - our name ? A sturdy fusible on the back and a small security pin would make it a brooch .. :-)

Got the siggy idea because of the swap that is going on now ..

Still waiting for the travel agency to confirm it...
Perhaps we should call Marriott ourselves.

I think that sounds like a cute idea. We could come up with a design and post it on the board and everyone could make their own to wear.
