It seems a lot of us "Pfaffer's" are coming out of the woodwork. Great machines.

    Betty,
I have a 2170. Intermittedly, when embroidering it cuts the bobbin thread off too short and then when it starts the new color I sometimes have to stop the machine, pull the bobbin, pull the tail out longer so it will catch, then back up the stitching to fill in what was missed or just start that block over. I am in a lifetime embroidery club at the store in my neighborhood that sells them, and the girl that teaches has the upgraded 2144 to 2170. She said that is a fluke in those models. I have not bought the 4D but would love to have it just for the sake of making bigger designs than the rectangular hoop that came with it. I have the Grand Hoop and am limited to just alphabet when it comes to very large. Would love to have the CV 5.5 someday, but way out of my budget at the time. My 2170 is overwhelmingly great anyway. V.

I have a new Pfaff Creative Vision 5.0 It was a gift from my DH.. what a gift.. I sew almost everyday and hate to go away without my machine.. (I don't take it with us, but want to!!) My previous machine was a Bernina 830.. That sweet machine has sewn everything I put under the foot.. I love that old machine and will never give it up.. but let me tell you, this new Pfaff is the most wonderful thing in my life next to my DH and my grandchildren!! I love a Pfaff!

I tried to find [email protected] it wouldn't come up.. Is there a typo in the addy or something?

I was also going to say that I have the 4D software.. Haven't learned near enough of it yet.. but before you invest in that software be aware that 5D is coming out soon. I know the shop owners are all going for training now.. I would guess it will be out in the next few months. That is a guess, I know nothing for sure, except that it is coming!

Love my Pfaff 4.0. I have had it for a year and we have just been reunited after it being away for its warranty service. After 2 weeks apart we are purring along together nicely.
