Put it all down to experience, use it and enjoy it.

if it is great on the bed then who cares if it is square or not. I am sure your kids wont be looking that close at it.

I wouldn't do anything to it. If it looks good and bed and will be loved and used leave it alone. My first quilt was made for my Grand daughter and has a multitude of flaws and she still sleeps with it.

Just tell yourself, you meant to have it that way. Wow, what a great job! LOL

I've been quilting for 10 years and have yet to make a perfect quilt.
No-one will notice if you don't point it out. It's not like you're entering it in a show! Your kids will love it because it's from you.

I think the only place it really matters if your quilt is "squared-up" is if you enter it into a quilt show, where you are judged for your expertise. I would much rather spend my time making the quilt than perfecting every square inch of it. 8-)

Always consider the 5 foot rule. if it looks good on the bed, only you will know the problem, just don't mention it. it ok, honest

it looks good on a bed.

i'd call it mission accomplished and be proud of it. ;-)
    What she said!!!!
I totally concur with that!!!  Only you will know that it doesn't fold square. If it lays on the bed and keeps people warm, then I'd say it's complete.

If it looks good on the bed I would leave it alone. I have never made a show quilt. The last quilt I made was for our bed and to make it fit right I added wider borders to the top and bottom and narrow ones to the sides. It looks good on the bed.

See this sail-boat quilt WELL, I didn't measure the sides and ends to cut the lengths for the borders and so it is way out of whack. I say to you - leave it the way it is and enjoy. Consider it a lesson and you'll never do it again. Would love to see a picture of it.
