I like the biscuitt quilt which was very popular in the 70s. I think I'll have to put it on my list to make one. Colors go very nicely together. Like it.

Just saw your beautiful quilt. My DD wants one and I was not really into it until I saw yours. Did you make that from a pattern? If so would you mind telling me where I can find it. She has a king sized bed but I am thinking I will make a queen to somewhat match her dust ruffle which is very pretty. Thanks for any help you can give me.

I'm another fan who will be adding a biscuit/puff quilt to my bucket list as a result of this post. It is a BEAUTIFUL quilt, and I love the carpenter's square too.

My boyfriend's mom showed me how to make this quilt. My squares are six by six inches. I sewed the top first then I sewed the back then I marked the wrong side of the backing fabric with rows of five inch by five inch. Then I sewed row by row making tubes. In the middle of each square I would make a half inch gather so that each square matched up per my markings. Once I sewed all the rows one way then I started with sewing down the middle of the quilt and stitched in the ditch and gather half inch all the way down. Then one row at a time I would push a handful of stuffing all the way down each tube and then sew all the way down closing the square and repeat until I got to the end of the quilt. Then turn the quilt around and stuff and sew the other side. It's gets a little bulky so make sure you have plenty of table space to help hold the quilt while sewing. I made three of these quilts before I made this queen size. I love it. I am so glad that I finally have a room to display it in. Happy Quilting!!!!!
