there is something seriously wrong with me.

Just curious, what is your age? I have been feeling the same way within the last few months. I feel like I have ADD (observation and self diagnosis as I have two grown children with it). My Dr calls it "menopausal fog". She told me HRT would help. Well, that is out of the realm of possibility as I have a 3 generational breast cancer history and the risk outweighs the cure. I have started using coconut oil, which has been shown to have a beneficial effect on Alzheimer's patients and I am noticing a difference. I can stay on task better (still not great) and I definitely have more energy. DH even commented that I am more active since I started this. I had been feeling overwhelmed with "stuff" and am getting rid of a lot of it. Also, actually started granddaughters quilt within the last week. I am praying that I can get it finished before Christmas. Just wanted you to know that you are not the only one. If you are of menopausal age it could be related. Ann in TN

I have been in and out of that boat many times and fell in the water and almost drowned at one point! The best cure for me is to just pick something and get started on it...doesn't matter what it is..just do it. I try very hard to stick with one project until it is finished pieced, quilted and bound.

Retirement didn't help in my situation. In fact I think it got worse. Problem is now you have all kinds of time, so you take on all of the projects you always wanted to get to, and still none of them gets done. Ann in TN

Thank Heavens, I'm not alone. I am heading to the mountains, this week, with my small quilting group (six) for our yearly retreat. We have extended it to a full week and it seems the only time I really get to work on started projects. I don't feel so dysfunctional now and will enjoy my week even more knowing every stitch is one stitch closer to finishing. Lodee Dodee Da!
