I seem to ALWAYS be cold. And when I am not then I am having a hot flash with chills. Been like this for me for years.

Layers of clothes and lots of them. I have lived in central New York State my entire life. These long stretches of days barely reaching into double digits are getting tedious at best, horrible at worse. At least a lot of sunshine has been involved. I've stayed in my sewing room with plenty of hot tea and cocoa. Homemade soup, milk chocolate and cookies help.

In winter when I am cold i get a wheat bag and warm it up in the microwave then i put on my hoodie with the pocket across the front and put it in there...toasty! its handy too as when i am sewing i can also warm my hands up and it seems to keep my whole body warm as long as i wear my slippers.

Now don't laugh......but hubby taped up bubble wrap on our windows, keeping out the cold a good bit ! But I sit with my quilt on my lap while watching tv and sew in the dining room which is in middle of house staying warmer there! But outside..is too chilly for me!

Took a break from sewing and am getting caught up on my knitting and crocheting. My room is also in the basement and just too chilly down there when it was -50. We have one of the oil heaters (looks like a little radiator) and keeps our living room and bedroom warmer. I wonder how long it will take to melt the snow and ice once (if) spring does come.

We keep our thermostat at 68 but, this old farmhouse is really drafty and we've been pretty chilly when we've had the sub-zero temps and very strong winds. I wear layers around the house. I'll be honest..I haven't sewn as much as I should, or would like to lately. It has been too tempting to wrap up in a flannel raggy quilt and watch TV. CanNOT wait for spring! This seems to be the never-ending winter!
