first - I think it is very nice - wouldn't have thought about the color combo, but I love it! That is why this site is so good, we see so many new things. second - as has been said many times on this site - we are hardest on ourselves. Others love that something was handmade for them. If you have the rare person that says something other than 'thank you so much' for taking the time and work to make something for them, than that person shouldn't get anymore gifts from you. I'm sure you know many people that would be honored to have something from you. third - I can almost guarantee that most of the things we make (even those of us sewing and quilting for many, many years) would not stand up to intense scrutiny. That is the beauty of handmade with love.

I am a MIL and if I were to receive a quilt that looked like yours, I'd just jump for joy and hug you bunches!!! It is a beautiful quilt and you should be proud to give it. You are very talented. Keep on quilting...can't wait to see what your next project looks like.

If you can't see the "issues" from 25 feet away on the back of a galloping horse, you are doing just fine! No one else will be putting their nose so close to the quilt as to see what you consider mistakes unless you put some yummy scent there for them to sniff!! It is lovely and will be loved by them!

Do they love you because of your perfect points? No!
    Are they quilters? Probably not.
They will love it because you made it and it's lovely!

I think it looks absolutely wonderful!! We are ALL so hard on ourselves! I bet if you go back in a month you'll never be able to find the things you pointed out as flaws!!

I think it is beautiful. From the front is looks absolutely perfect. The back, the little wiggly isn't even an issue. Go to bed bath & beyond and look at their things. They are all crooked, that is just how they are. If you tell them you bought it, they wouldn't think twice about it because that is just how things are made. I think it is perfect on both sides. Good job!
