Wow, what enlightening responses to my post..Since then I purchased a vintage Kenmore on Craigslist near my home selling for $60, I asked if she would take $50 and she agreed. So now I have a working machine to take and after most of the comments here have been favorable to lending i am now more inclined to share. I do know the joy of teaching young ladies and gentlemen to sew, I used to give classes at the store where I worked.

It is a hard question. Some may not think their machine is that important that if it got broken or damaged it wouldn't matter. I think I would have to see who wants to use it. If they destroy it, can they afford to have it fixed? If so, then they should just but one to begin with. I don't want to be selfish, but machines aren't cheap and repairs are costly.

I would loan my husband before I did one of my sewing machines,However I would consider buying one for a group at a thrift store ,etc. and donate it.

Have fun with the projects and showing others how to use the machines. If I was closer I would give you a few of my vintage girls that are workhorses.
