I don't know anything about free motion as I tie my quilts, but I think you did a fantastic job

Hi! Yes I did use gloves. They were a pain when you had to cut threads, etc., I had to keep taking them off, but I don't think I would have been able to guide the fabric without them. I also used the sew slip sheet, which made the fabric glide smoothly.

I found both links to be invaluable. You can also go to you tube and put in Free Motion Quilting and many helpful videos come up.

Way to go. I triied my first free otion on a Doll Quilt last month. It was fun and not as hard as I was expecting.
