I am currently sewing on a TV tray in my small meager corner of the living room. will add pic in a few min.
It's nice to see a sewing area that looks like mine. Mine is the corner of the dining room.

I have two bottom kitchen cupboards with the drawers cut off. On top of them is a kitchen counter - purchased at the local lumber store. It is exactly the right height for me. Good luck finding your special counter.

I have the Bernina 440QE on a Horn cabinet. The Horn cabinet has the drop down blanket shelf in the back, a side table for a serger and plenty of space on each side of the machine. Plus it's oak & looks as pretty as it works!

I have a sewing table I bought 15 years ago. It's not a Horn, but looks like one. I've forgotten the brand. It was made to hold my Pfaff 1471, but I now have a Creative Vision which is too large for the opening. I have been meaning to get DH to cut out the opening a little more, but we both forget it. I bought a great sewing chair that adjusts so I can get almost high enough! When we get home, I'll get him to fix it. I painted and rearranged before we left.

My Janome 6600 lives in a Horn Model 2178 Combo-Air Sewing Cabinet. They're both perpendicular to our sliding glass door. When I need a break from sewing, I just turn my head and I can look at our lake. Both "pieceful" and peaceful!

Hi, I use a 6 ft., hard plastic sort of material, folding table that can be bought at sams club, costco, walmart, and Lowe's even have them...I use it for cutting, and sewing. I also have a 4 ft one, I will use for the embroidery machine.
I use a computer chair, that raises, and lowers, a cheaper one at that, and keep it at it's highest, when sewing. My back doesn't hurt any longer, since I found this by accident. My wire fox terriers play, under my feet, and they dropped my chair one day, to the lowest point. I raised it to the highest, by mistake, and liked it. Try that.

I have a Janome 6600, a Singer Featherweight, a Janome DC 2007, an old Kenmore and a no name brand my Mom bought me years ago.

My Janome 6600 sits on a table in front of my sewing room window.

Love love love my Janome 6600!!

Anicra, I live in Maine also. Did you get your Janome at Kayla's?

I have a Brother QC 1000 and have an adjustable table from Staples. I have my serger on an old typewriter table that a neighbor was getting rid of.
