In the deli department of a local grocery store there is a sign on the refrigerator reading "FOOD MAY NOT BE STORED IN THE REFRIGERATOR!!!" It always gives me a chuckle. I did ask one time if the 'frig was broken, was told "Oh no, it works just fine."

I didn't realize just how bad English usage had gotten until I started reading public forums and comments on news stories. Newspapers have been notorious for wording things strange for several decades though.
