my husband would be the same way. I can completely relate. He can squirrel things away like nobodies business. He likes to keep everything in "new" condition forever. very frustrating. good luck :)

I don't make quilts for my husband. To me, quilts are not generally for quys, I ask him and he feels the same way.
Really, what are they suppose to do with them?
We have one on our bed and in the winter months I put
one on our couch. Other than that where is a man suppose to put a quilt? Just my opinion.

I just throw it on the couch. We keep it pretty chilly in the house and cover up to keep warm instead of turning up the furnace (and the gas bill!). If my husband didn't want to use a quilt I made him for fear of "hurting" it, I'd smack him! LOL Why in the world would I make you a quilt if I didn't want it to be used?

My Mother is 90 yr old and she saves everything I give her. I have made her two throws to use and she saves them. No more

I made my hubby a t-shirt quilt out of his favorite football team's t-shirts, The Univ. of Texas. He uses it every night in his recliner as he watches TV. :)

My husband doesn't like his quilt either. It's not soft enough for him. I'm going to make a flannel quilt for him someday and tie it so it'll stay nice and soft.

I do not have a problem with hubby using them. He wears the out. He is now begging for another one and complains to everyone that they all get theirs before he does. lol

I would pull them out of the closet and use hem myself! A quilt is a terrible thing to waste.

Mine are used, used, and sometimes abused!
Maybe you could just take his quilt and wrap yourself up in it. That way, at least it will get some sort of use and maybe he'll get jealous and swipe it from you

Pull it out and you use it :) I bet if you start using it he will crawl under it and snuggle with you. Or at least someone will be using it!
