I totally agree, I do have two dogs, but I would never take them to visit friends, I think that's just rude to start with.

It depends on the friends and the dogs. :-) My friends from the humane society loved seeing each others dogs.

Have Trudy ask this other "friend" if her dog has "accidents" at other peoples houses. If she says no never then Trudy knows she is either lying, in denial, or just doesn't care about other peoples property. Either way she then needs to tell her that her dog left her some surprises all over last time. She can then give her a choice. 1) Leave her dog at home or 2) find and suggest a small room, without carpet, put the dog in, close the door, and she clean any surprises left 3) she also can keep the dog on a short leash. If this "friend" never talks to her again tell Trudy she'll still have you as a friend.

What on EARTH could be so special about a person that you would let them continue to let their pets pee and poop in your house rather than risk losing them?????

I never understand the need to visit people and bring your dog. I love dogs...only have one right now...but I do not visit with my dog. The other thing is, if you do visit with an animal, it should be where you are so you can supervise it.

But if it were me, Daphne would have to go.
If it were me, I'd borrow a great dane from the pound that wasn't housetrained and visit Daphne.

Perhaps she could fake alergies, and ask her not to bring them

I think it's rude. But I'm not one to sit and visit for long periods of time. Surely she doesn't bring them to lunch or meetings. I'm afraid she would only come once if I found poop on my carpet. Sorry if I sound rude.

With friends like this, you don't need enemies! Appalling behaviour....We don't take our dogs visiting and even if invited with them, we leave them at home. The very odd occasion I have taken my little guy (Topo, smaller than a cat chi x) anywhere he is tethered outside, in the shade with a snack and a big bowl of water.
