Happy Birthday
I went to Lancaster many. many years ago - and was awed that the shop had 7 or 8 different shades of solid greys.
Buy at least a yard of fabrics you like. I've found FQs a waste of money - I have hundreds and only occasionally cut pieces of a colour I need.
Do go to the Museum too.

Check and see if any of the shops have that book. I have been in a shop and picked up a book that I have at home, and shopped for the fabric - then put the book back on the shelf. The shops that I have done that in, didn't mind one bit, and completely understood.
Have fun and Happy Birthday to you!!

If you're going to Shady Maple - check out the Goodwill store close by. They have bins in the basement where items are $.25. I've picked up garbage bags full of clothes (mens shirts included) that only cost me a few dollars. You might want to go after breakfast - to walk off all the goodies! LOL
By the way - Shady Maple grocery store has expanded AGAIN! Be sure to pick up some sticky buns!

I wish my huibby would plan like that for me. I spent my birthday alone with my three dogs. lol. Buy whatever you see that you want. Do not go with pre conceived ideas you never know what you will see that is a great bargain.
