I kinda like the colors together.

I converted the Feetwood to a hand crank.

Default Rodney

I almost forgot about Rodney! I would guess this is considered a badged Japanese machine. I friend gave it to me years ago, and it was my go to machine until a few years ago. Works fine, no fancy stitches. And thank everyone for the wonderful information on this board!

Default Centennial zig zag

I have a Centennial zig zag sewing machine. It's in brand new condition. Trying to learn more about it. I have pictures but I don't know how to post them.

Welcome to QB, Ashergate.

We like pictures. In order to post pictures on Quilting Board, you will probably need to reduce or compress the picture to a file size that is smaller than 2MB. How to post images can be found at https://www.quiltingboard.com/attach...020-01-17-.pdf
Don't forget to scroll over to the far right to find and click on the "Upload" button.

I have found that only the big red "Reply" button or "Quote" work to give me the paper clip icon to work for adding pictures.
https://www.quiltingboard.com/attach...p-location.jpg

Some additional info regarding reducing images at post #4 and images for the scroll and upload button can be found at #5 of quilt block ID?

Another way to post pictures can be found at 2021/2022, 2.5” Birthday Swap
And how to use an ipad to post pictures can be found at Uploading photos

Or simply - Make sure pictures are smaller than 2MB
Click on red "Reply" button
Click on the paper clip icon
Click browse - choose picture/s. (only 5 allowed per post)
Once they show up as being loaded, Scroll over to the right side and click on "Upload"
After the pictures show up as being attached, you can close that window and go back to the screen to finish posting your post.

Looking at the mechanism, it looks an awful lot like a Singer 15 clone. Is the tension assembly on the nose of the machine?

Nice looking machine. Very nice that you got the attachments and a manual.

I'm wondering if it is actually a Japanese machine as I'm not seeing any JA or JC numbers or logos cast or stamped in the base. The only thing I can see is on the underside by the hand wheel end. It kind of looks like a D ??? There could be something on the underside of lip, perhaps to the left of the serial number. I have a machine that the only indication that it was made in Japan was it said so on the back of the pillar, which was only visible after the motor was taken off. There are some pictures of JA n& JC numbers at various places on the machines at http://doubleveil.net/zssmp/ambeauty.htm

Have fun with your 'new' machine. Looks like it will work well, with very little TLC.

Obviously I didn't look at the pictures closely enough. The tension assembly is on the front. But still, the mechanisms under the machine look an awful lot like this is a Singer 15 clone. If maintained, I would be surprised if it doesn't sew perfectly for at least the next 100 years.
