Sadly, in the Charlotte, NC area two are in the process of closing -- Sew Much Fun in Concord and Quilting Nook in Waxhaw. So sad...

I just went to one yesterday in Parrish, FL that is closing the end of this month. Her rent has apparently been increased to 78k a year !!!! Hate to see it close, even though I spent $199 and walked out with 17.5 yards of mostly batik fabric, a great monogramming software program (had been looking at one for over $400 - got this one for less than $60), 2 patterns and 2 books . Sadly, we can often get great bargains as a result of others misfortunes.

We have a new one in Quincy, Illinois. It's at State and 8th. I haven't been in there yet, but am planning to go on my next day off.

Yes. We've lost two really good ones in the last year in the Denver area. Tomorrow's Heirlooms (closed then reopened with new owners) and The Great American Quilt Factory.
