I really like #2. If the white area seems too large (mind you, I like it) you could put a triangle in the corner of that block making a star or a smaller square there. Happy quilting.

I love #1, it is so much more interesting. I guess I like things that are a little different. #2 is pretty standard

Depending on what you are trying to do. If getting drunk as a skunk is your plan go with #1. WOW! but my eyes are spinning..... Not a bad thing as I like this kind of look. Weird, huh? LOL Glenda
