Ya, I see it, but don't knock yourself out about it. This is a block, in my opinion, that really needs a visual. I can even tell you how many log cabin quilts I have made and ALWAYS get out my Quilt in a Day book when I get to the sewing part for a visual, otherwise I'd do the same thing you did.

Eleanor Burns is the QUEEN of exceptional visuals. You can always count on her books to point you in the right direction.

I really had to study these to find out what you were talking about. Log cabins seem so simple but can be confusing. Made several mistakes on the first one I did too.

You sure caught the "originality" early. I have finished quilts with one or two wonkie squares and I love them. They are like my children, not perfect but they are mine..

Silly, it's your original design, your personal take on log cabin. Very interesting.

Can you see what I did wrong?
    cj,

I bet eveyone who has ever done a log cabin did this on at least one block. It is easy to do. It took me awhile and several ripping sessions to work the order out in my mind. But look at the bright side, you are only doing a table runner.

I like the look, so I'd make a third and put it together. It will look fine.
