I love the quilt. I saw McDaniels quilt and fell in love with it. I found the same material at Hobby Lobby but I chose to make another color but wished I had made the one like you all did. I just made a throw for a friend who was ill. I love your quilt, you did a WONDERFUL job. My first quilt ever was also a log Cabin quilt. I love that pattern so easy to make and so fun. I just can't wait to see your finished quilt. Please post. You did good.

Your quilt is beautiful!!! I am doing the same pattern. Plan to put a narrow dark border followed by the matching lite color in a wide border. Then will applique a few large daisies in the wide border. Good luck.....show us again when finished. You are doing a great job!!!! :-D

I did that on a baby quilt I made - top & bottom borders were not as wide as on the sides - it still looked fine, and I certainly didn't hear any of that mentioned when it was presented to the recipient. She loved it!

Nicely done!
I also like the idea of continuing the pattern along the sides, quilt will be wider but not longer. You could then put on borders is you like. Whatever you decide it's a beautiful quilt.

Finish by scalloping the 3 edges and bind in the rose on all 4 sides. I have a quilt like this that I bought.
Another good solution. I don't know if you are up to making a scalloped border, I know I'm not, so I would just make the outside border a straight one.
