My 1952 FW is named Lena after my DGM & my 1963 FW is named Wanda after my dear friend. I have a 1965 Singer named Sarah Belle after my DH's DGM (the original owner). I haven't thought of names for my other machines though. I have about 9 others. :)

Wasn't aware that I was supposed to name her! Umm, I'm thinking Faith. Short for Old Faithful!

    My Bernina 180 is Bernice.
Bernina 160 is Bernard. (Don't ask how you tell the difference between a boy and a girl Bernina! LOL!) Bernice is high maintenance!?
My Singer 503 is the Rocketeer.
No names for FW, 99k, or the two Viking 190's.
Love my first Viking, so Old Faithful fits.

Thanks to this thread, I just did an inventory of my machines with serial numbers, history (if I knew it), and service information. I included their names and information on what the machines can do. Nice to have all this in one place.

Because everyone here seems to name their FW, I named mine Quiltie since she is used for making quilt tops. I don't plan to name any of my other machines.

I lost my bestest Quily Girlfriend Lynda 2 years ago in August and inherited her Babylock Ellegante ll and have never made the transition in my heart so she still is Lynda's machine or Lynda's big machine. My Janome 9500 is so pretty in lavender and white that I call her Jan. My 1951 FW which was also Lynda's gets referred to as the little machine I got from Lynda so I Guess it has no name. The same is true of my first little singer. I call it just that. really never refer to Jan as Kan just thought it was a cute idea but probably nobody even knows.

Ruby for my Janome Horizon because she's red and large after the Latin word "rubra gigantia".
