Darn it! Too bad you didn't let her give it to Goodwill. Then, I would have bought it! You would be amazed at the beautiful quilts that took hours and hours and hours to make, that I find there, often almost-finished. People like her have no appreciation for the art of quilting--you DEFINITELY did the right thing! Now, the quilt will be loved like it should be.

this lady doesn't really know much about quilting. She is always just looking for a bargain. I think she wanted me to finish it for nothing. But, I can't even got my own stuff done. I thought I gave her a bargain price as it was. The lady that started it was handquilting every piece. That is a lot of quilting and a lot of time. I'll be sure to post it when it is finished. I love it.

You did the right thing. From a hand quilter...$40 was extremely conservative! If she didn't want to pay that much, she didn't really appreciate the quilt. The $20 she paid for it was a steal. Guess you got the good end of the deal.
