Thank you, it's just some simple 9" blocks that I put together, no pattern name that I know of.

I have a longarm, but at this time I only quilt for myself, the guilds, and occasionally for friends.

Shhh! This is the first time I'm telling anyone about this. The only quilt I didn't fix was a queen size one that had been quilted, bound and gifted before I noticed the mistake. I take a photo of my quilts when they are finshed but this one was given away before I really looked at the photo on my computer. Because of its size I assembled the blocks in 2 sections and sewed the 2 sections together up side down. It's not very noticeable because the fabrics all blend nicely but I know it. Before noticing the mistake I had sent the photo to many quilting friends and no one has noticed it but I know it. So I'm depening upon you to keep my secret.
My lips are sealed. If my design hadn't been so BIG and so SIMPLE it might not have been as noticeable. And if it had already been quilted... I doubt VERY SERIOUSLY that I would have fixed it.

Yep, fixing it was the right thing to do so you now have a wonderful quilt to give someone to cherish always.

i once did a baby quilt for a sister-in-law who was expecting her first child. I had backed it with a soft yellow brushed nylon. I was about 3/4ths done with the quilting when realized I had the backing wrong side out. I finished it and just let it go--nobody knew except my son and i had to tell him what was wrong after he looked at it for over a half hour.

I would have fixed it too... no laughing here. You're talking to someone that refolds bath towels if the corners don't match perfectly

I almost always fix it. I think we all do things like that. I'm glad you saw it on the wall - it turned out beautifully!

Just tell your son that you paid for both sides of the fabric.
