I am so sad for you. It has to get better. I'm sending hugs and prayers your way.

This quilter dies and goes to hell. She meets with the devil, and he takes her to a room with all sort of beautiful fabrics, the most fascinating machines, threads of all colors, sizes and textures, tables, materials, the hole thing. She looks at the devil and ask him, How can this be hell? I could spend eternity here with no problem. He looks at her and says...Do you see any needles?

I don't know how a quilter could end up in hell, but because I don't know where will I go, I want to be prepared. Anywhere as long as my MIL is not there...but she is not a quilter. She prefers to "buy her blankets", even though she asked me to maker her one.
   get your scissors out and cut grandmothers flower garden shapes out of all your mil clothes ..hehehe

You guys are such an amazing bunch. I feel so much better about everything now! I asked her where she wants me and she didn't have an answer. She said she is not upset about me being here, but I know she likes to be in control, make everyone's life difficult, and then make herself the victim. I am just ignoring her today and then see what tomorrow brings. For now, I am watching Idol, and she will stay away. She hates TV in English.

Thanks a lot to all of you for your words of encouragement.

Maria

Got one for ya, since she loves chocolate in her coffee, put exlax choc in with the coffee grounds. She'll never know what hit her.... (Just don't drink it yourself)

Chocolate will make the coffee smooth, and she won't notice a thing...

If you get the job (and I hope you do), post where you will be in CA for the 6 weeks. I wouldn't be surprised if there is a member of this board who might have an extra machine they would loan to you while you are out there. Isn't that why we all belong to this community - to support each other?

I had a SIL (had being the operative word) that literally had me seeing red. Yes the saying is true, you can get so angry you see red. If I ever was going to do bodily harm to anyone, it would have been her. In fact I had her backed in a corner once and it took my mom, dad and DH to pull me off and I'm not a physical person. I would much rather use my mouth unusual words to tell someone off and even then I have to be really pushed.
